JEAN SSENINDE UNITED TEAM VISIT UBC STUDIOS

On Wednesday 8th September, 2021, the Jean Sseninde United team had the privilege of visiting the Uganda national broadcaster, Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) on a guided media tour at their Nile Avenue home.

Led by the Jean Sseninde team Senior Administrator Ssemanda Tadeo, the team’s main aim for the visit was to continue forming strategic partnerships with various media houses in the country.

The team was taken around the premises getting a first-hand feel of the task of reporting news bulletins and the different transmission processes.

The team was later hosted to a brief on-air interaction with renowned female sports anchor and Head of Sports at UBC Fifi “Pinky” Phiona.

Mubiru Grace, Jean Sseninde United Regional Coordinators and Mobilisation Officer, urged everyone to add more support to women’s football and pledged together with his fellow district coordinators, to give his all to see women’s football flourish.

“We urge everyone to come on board and help grow women’s football in any way. Buying a t-shirt helps, coming to watch training helps, bringing your child to our academy helps to grow women’s football and we are looking forward as a team to working with all well wishers.” Added Nakintu May Angela, the Jean Sseninde United General Manager.

For the Communications team at Jean Sseninde United, this visit went a long way in strengthening their media skills and the UBC staff pledged to offer their support when needed.
